Does the finder need to download an app?+
No — not at all. The finder uses their phone's built-in camera to scan the QR code. The page opens in any browser, instantly. And as the owner, you also don't need any app to manage or update your profile.
What if I miss the anonymous call?+
The relay number will appear in your missed calls, so you can call back — but the finder's actual number is still masked to protect both parties. You can also set a secondary emergency contact who gets a notification if the primary number doesn't answer.
Will the tag stop working after a year?+
Never. Your QR code and safety profile are valid for life. There is no annual renewal, no subscription fee, and no expiry date. You pay once and your tag works forever.
Can the tag be scanned if it's scratched or wet?+
Yes. We use QR Error Correction Level H, which means the code remains readable even if up to 30% of the surface is damaged or obscured. The UV-resistant polyester laminate also protects against scratches, water, and fading for over 10 years.
Can I update my emergency contacts later?+
Yes — anytime, as many times as you like, completely free. Just log into your account at itsmything.in and make your changes. They take effect immediately. Your physical tag never changes — the QR always points to your latest profile.
What can a stranger see when they scan my tag?+
Only what you deliberately chose to show. Typically: a friendly name for your item (like "My Blue Swift"), call and WhatsApp buttons, and optionally blood group or medical notes you've enabled. Your phone number, home address, and WhatsApp ID are never visible to the finder — ever.
